The Georgia Radiology Research & Educational Network (GRREN)
Established to promote educational and research excellence in imaging related fields. GRREN, created by the private practice field of radiology through teaching and research related activities. Many of the 34 radiologists within Quantum Radiology Northwest come from strong academic backgrounds with many years experience in teaching and research. A new state of the art teaching facility ad research offices has been created to foster an environment conducive to learning and conducting clinical trial.
Accreditation
The American Society of Radiological Technologists has approved this program for Category A Credits. While this activity offers a maximum of 8.5 ASRT Credit Units, it is not intended to prove extensive training or certifications in this field.
This course is targeted to customers & healthcare practitioners who have expressed an interest in post-processing and 3-D Imaging.
What is the Educational Objectives to this Cardiac & 3-D Imaging training?
- To become familiar with the technological advantages of multi-slice CT imaging in the evaluation of cardiovascular disease, including protocol optimization.
- To become familiar with the normal and variant anatomy of cardiac and vascular systems.
- To be able to identify and characterize vascular disease in the systems and to become acquainted with the clinically meaningful information that these studies must provide in order to impact on clinical decision-making.
- To learn the workstation skills necessary to generate clinically meaningful post-processing images.
Philips Medical Systems and GRREN have collaborated in developing a three day fellowship in the advanced training for multislice cardiovascular CT. The course, targeted to Brilliance Workspace customers includes didactic lectures as well as hands on training using Philips work stations.
